RootPacket is live
Today we're flipping the switch. RootPacket is officially open for business.
We started RootPacket because we were tired of infrastructure providers that didn't understand what their customers actually needed — slow quotes, opaque pricing, and first-line support that couldn't tell BGP from BPDU. So we built the company we always wished we could buy from.
What we're launching with
- Bare metal — dedicated high-bandwidth servers with 10G to 100G unmetered uplinks, deployed in under six hours.
- Colocation — carrier-neutral space at Equinix AM3 and AM4 in Amsterdam, with free rack & stack.
- IP transit — Tier 1 blend from Cogent and Arelion, 1G to 400G, with 95th-percentile billing.
- Remote hands — on-site engineers from €60/hr in Europe and $110/hr in the US.
Everything runs on our own network — two ASNs spanning Europe and North America, with direct peering at major internet exchanges.
What's next
More locations, more internet exchanges, and a steady stream of updates right here. If there's something you'd like us to build, tell us — we read every message.
Welcome aboard.
